Morpeth’s Ryan McLeod was in action on Sunday, winning the Runthrough Newcastle 10k in a time of 31m.11s. He also won the M40 category. The event was coupled with a half marathon event in which Andrew Lawrence finished 4th in 1:17.09, winning the vets M40 category in that event. The races were held around Kingston Park and Dinnington. Around 500 runners took part in the 10K and 700 in the half marathon.
