MORPETH 10k (28/6/26)
Held on an 'undulating' course in hot conditions, the Morpeth 10k attracted a crowd of 650 athletes. First past the post was Ryan McLeod (32m:39secs & 1st M40) with Liam Bartle second (34m.29secs & 1st M35) and Lee Cuthbertson fifth (35m.58secs & 2nd M35). Ian Armstrong was 1st M50 (13th overall: 39m:03secs). David Fisher continued to show good form with a 41m.24secs for 24th place. The improving Tony Horsley was 3rd M60 (61st: 44m:24secs). Tom Woodcock (50m:31secs), Ben Swinney (48m.09secs) and Jasmine Jonas (77m:13sec) were also up for the challenge. In the Junior Event speedy Mason Ellison was 4th overall and was only a handful of seconds off the front.
